A major part of getting your engine running right is getting this piston to wall clearance right. If this isn’t right you can have everything from a hot OR cold seize – if the clearance is too tight & for a cold seize that is normally a combination of tight clearance & not warming the engine up.. to a worn out bore with too much clearance giving low compression.
The main cylinder work I do is rebores in the case of an iron liner & Re-Nikasil plating.
