The 2 stroke engine rebuild service I offer here covers the labour for doing the work but doesn’t include any parts e.g. pistons, gaskets or bearings – although I should be able to provide them for a decent price.
The charge doesn’t include any cylinder work like a rebore or Nikasil plating – I’ll assess the need for this during the strip down & advise if this is needed and the price.
If the Crank needs a rebuild this is also an extra charge.
A Full engine rebuild should be undertaken as a regular service and should be done at least as regularly as specified in your service manual.
Sometimes things go wrong or the engine is put under a lot of pressure for example if the engine is raced hard regularly.
In both cases all parts need to be fully inspected and prepared before rebuild.
I take great pride in my work & on both classic and modern 2 stroke bikes and you can be assured that the quality of the work will be of the highest standard.
If anything is discovered to be incorrect during the rebuild I’ll be able to advise you and repair the problem even to the point of modifications.
You’ll need to get your bike or engine to me for the rebuild – i prefer to have the whole bike so I can run the engine through a few heat cycles following the work.
